McDonald’s has introduced a new burger, the Chicken Big Mac. To promote the product, they chose none other than Kai Cenat. The Twitch streamer is one of the biggest on the platform worldwide.
What product is it about? The fast-food chain McDonald’s has introduced a new burger in the USA: The Chicken Big Mac. With this, they aim to offer a chicken variant alongside the Big Mac. However, the burger will be initially available exclusively in the USA. They also want to test how well or poorly the product is received by customers.
Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer of McDonald’s USA, explained:
With the introduction of the Chicken Big Mac, we are excited to pay tribute to one of our most iconic menu items, the Big Mac, and introduce it to a whole new generation of fans.
One of the biggest Twitch streamers gets to test the new burger
Which streamer represents the new burger? None other than Kai Cenat. Cenat is one of the biggest Twitch streamers ever and has teamed up with McDonald’s to promote the new product (via sportskeeda.com):
- In a new 30-second spot, for instance, Cenat arrives at McDonald’s and doesn’t know what to order. A choir in the back seat explains to him that he wants a Chicken Big Mac. He doesn’t believe that such a product exists until he sees the menu with the new product.
- In an official stream, Kai Cenat tests the new Chicken Big Mac with friends. The video has already reached around 900,000 views after one day.
The idea is not new: The idea with the choir in the back seat is actually not entirely new. A few years ago, Cenat collaborated with a church choir: In 2021, Kai Cenat visited a local McDonald’s branch and had a thank-you song sung by the church choir: A Big Mac, fries, a Coke, and a McFlurry. The video has received more than 1.3 million views and over 2,000 comments to date.
