A trainer has conducted a small experiment in Pokémon GO. And made an astonishing discovery.
There are some theories and assumptions that repeatedly lead to speculation or even frustration in Pokémon GO. This includes, for example, the spawn points of the 3 legendary Galar birds, behind which the community has already formulated its own theory.
Another assumption that has caused frustration among trainers in the community for ages has been closely examined by a player – and he was able to disprove it.
Update or display error?
What is this assumption? When you increase the friendship level with your friends in Pokémon GO, you can earn many experience points for reaching a new level. You can even double these with the use of a Lucky Egg and thus get up to 300,000 experience points.
The problem is that there are many trainers who open a gift to reach the highest level and then immediately remove the friend from the friends list. This has repeatedly caused frustration among trainers in the past because they thought they did not receive the experience points because of this.
A player reports on Reddit that he has now tried to see if the deleted friend receives the experience points or not. To do this, he uploaded a video on Reddit and recorded the amount of experience points before and after reaching the friend’s level.
Surprisingly, he notes that the deleted friend also received the experience points. Although the message appears that the trainer received 0 experience points for rising to “Best Friend”, the number of experience points in his profile has changed.
Was this changed? Whether this is an unannounced update or if it has always merely been a display error cannot be determined. In any case, this fact should lead to less frustrated trainers who feel like they are losing experience points.
