Players of the survival MMO Path of Titans (PS5) have long wished to be able to build their own nests. The developers are already diligently working on it, as a sneak peek of the new feature reveals.
What kind of game is Path of Titans? It is a survival MMORPG from the Australian development studio Alderon Games. The game is still in development but already offers unrestricted crossplay on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile.
Path of Titans offers a wide variety of animals, including large and small hunters like the T-Rex or Deinonychus (the actual inspiration for the Jurassic Park velociraptor), herbivores like Iguanodon and Stegosaurus, as well as flying reptiles and marine reptiles.
A new feature that the developers are working on is nests: Fans have long requested this. Now the developers have revealed in a short sneak peek how they will be integrated into the game.

How does the new mechanic work? For the first time, we see babies hatching from eggs. While this may not sound like much, it expands the game with completely new elements. Plus, it just looks damn cute.
Subadult and adult animals will be able to build nests all over the open world. Set nesting spots provide the best conditions, as nests require specific materials. These materials are plentiful in these areas.
We can add other players to our family tree in two ways:
- If we encounter a young player, we can invite them to our nest. This works across species as well.
- Alternatively, we can invite another player to hatch directly as a baby of our species.
As long as families stay close together, they receive a growth boost. To protect our nest from hungry predators, we can hide it with plants and other objects.
When is the update coming? The developers emphasize that the update is still in active development and will not be released anytime soon. Whether it will be ready in 2024 remains to be seen.
In the multiplayer segment, Path of Titans is not the only game that lets us slip into the skins of dinosaurs. However, the selection in single-player games is quite limited.
