With the latest patch for World of Warcraft Legion Remix, a detail has returned to the game that makes many nostalgic. For many, it symbolizes Legion.
When you ask the WoW community what they particularly remember from the Legion expansion, you get different answers. Some think of the powerful Legendary items, others of the class hall campaigns or the artifact weapons. But since last Wednesday, some are getting a “flashback” to a detail that many have forgotten and some have never experienced. Because the sky of Azeroth has suddenly changed dramatically.
Argus in the sky – The epitome of Legion
What’s going on with the sky? Those looking up at the sky in Legion Remix – and who have already met the required conditions – see not just the two moons of Azeroth overhead, but something else: the giant, destroyed world of Argus. It looms in the sky and is so large that it appears almost within reach.
Responsible for this is Illidan Stormrage. In the battle against Kil’Jaeden, on his Legion ship in the Twisting Nether, he opens a gigantic portal with the Sargerite Keystone to rescue the heroes. The problem: the portal remains open in the other direction as well. The consequence: Argus and Azeroth are now extremely close to each other.
This is how the community reacts: In the WoW subreddit, more and more pictures and screenshots have been appearing over the last few days, showing characters in front of the massive planet Argus. Many remember that time, while others are seeing this sight for the first time.
Some of the comments under these posts:
- “I’m a bit sad that they have never done something this cool in WoW again. I mean, we got a few cool skyboxes with K’aresh, but that’s only in that area.
I remember they made [Argus] visible to everyone at some point, and so many low-level characters that had never done the raid completely freaked out in the trade channel.” – Drakkodown - “Man, what I would give to see this skybox ‘for the first time’ again. The 20-year-old version of me was completely blown away after finishing the tomb for the first time. This and seeing Azeroth from Argus are two of the coolest sights ever in WoW.” – Sykretts1919
How do you unlock it? If you want to see Argus in the sky yourself, you need to complete the raid “The Tomb of Sargeras” at least once in Legion Remix. Because after the final fight, the cinematic plays that brings Argus close to Azeroth – so you can see this anywhere in Legion.
If you’re worried about visiting a raid in Remix – don’t worry. The raids are fairly easy even at mythic difficulty now, because some characters already have 999% versatility. More and more players are also starting to carry others through the raids. It should never take long to find a suitable group where you hardly have to do anything but tag along.
