In Borderlands 4 there are challenges for the different weapon categories. With a shotgun, these challenges are very easy.
What are the weapon challenges about? In Borderlands 4 you can complete various weapon challenges. The challenges require you to kill a specific number of enemies with an assault rifle, for example.
By completing a challenge, you earn experience points and Eridium, sometimes also skins. The challenges come in several stages. The required number of kills increases with each stage.
Perfect weapons to complete the weapon challenges
What kind of shotgun is this? The legendary shotgun Armored Bod has the legendary perk “All-Arounder”, making it count not only as a shotgun but also as an assault rifle, sniper rifle, pistol, and SMG.
This means you can easily complete all challenges of the different weapon types with the Armored Bod and save a lot of time – after all, a kill counts directly as progress for all weapon types.
Is the shotgun good? Yes, as the legendary perk suggests, the Bod is a true jack-of-all-trades. Since it counts as every weapon type, it benefits from many stat boosts that you might have on your upgrade slot or class mods.
If your upgrade increases pistol damage by 30% and your class mod increases SMG fire rate by 40%, both will be applied to the shotgun – even if it is not really a pistol or SMG.
Additionally, the Armored Bod deals kinetic damage, making it equally effective against any health bar and showing no weaknesses, as the element table reveals.
Where can you find the shotgun? According to YouTuber Arekks Gaming, you can specifically farm the Armored Bod in the center of the map, Dominion. To do this, you need to enter the mine “The Toil of Spoiling Vis” in the Carcadia district and defeat the boss enemy “Axtmaul” at the end. This is an oversized quadruped with a huge axe in its mouth.
With a bit of luck, Axtmaul drops the Armored Bod – MeinMMO editor Dariusz has had no luck so far. If you are unlucky, you can repeat the fight as many times as you want via a standing vending machine from Moxxi until you get the desired firearm.
Since the Armored Bod deals kinetic damage, it is particularly suitable for a bleeding build against Vex. The effect is indeed caused by kinetic damage. With the combination of critical hits, bleeding damage, and this powerful shotgun, you can then melt strong bosses.
