How can you use the feature? You can sort folders in Windows by multiple criteria by holding down the CTRL key and clicking on the columns you want as additional sorting options. For instance, you can first sort your data by size and then by file type. In total, you have a maximum of 4 sorting levels available.
For example, you can sort a folder with images containing PNG and JPG files first by type and then in descending order by modification date. This way, PNG files are grouped and sorted from newest to oldest, and JPGs are sorted in the same way separately.
