Not all items in Palworld are used for crafting. Some are simply worth a lot of gold and should be sold. A player shared on Reddit about his stockpile of items – and why he is afraid to sell them.
Which items are we talking about? In Palworld, there is a crafting system that utilizes resources such as wood, stone, or iron. You can find numerous guides explaining how to find and harvest these resources on MeinMMO.
Items that you need for crafting should not be sold, but rather used to create new items. However, not all items dropped by bosses, for example, have a purpose.
Some of them are simply worth a lot of gold and should be sold accordingly at the vendor (who can also be captured). This includes items like gemstones, such as rubies or diamonds, and “valuable” materials, like claws or feathers.
A player on Reddit didn’t know this and, for that reason, hoarded large quantities of these items in his storage.
The player was afraid to sell the items
Why was the player reluctant to sell the items? As the user RecessiveGenius69 wrote on Reddit, he has been hoarding many items. He shows the list with a photo:
It becomes clear that he has collected items worth 208,100 gold. So, that’s no small amount. But why didn’t he want to sell the valuable items?
The answer is simple: He thought he could craft something with them. And if not now, then maybe later. After all, Palworld is in early access and is continually being expanded by the developers.
So it is quite possible that items that are currently only meant for sale will receive another use in a later update. For example, they could be needed for new crafting recipes.
What does the community think? RecessiveGenius69 is not alone in his doubts. In the comments under his post, many voices of other players with similar concerns gather.
- After_Display_6753 has already had bad experiences: ‘I have regretted it a few times when I sold these items in different games, and it turned out they were still useful later in the game.’
- ‘This reminded me of Final Fantasy when I was a kid: One wrong step or a missing item, and you missed the Solaris weapons – better start over!’ writes Altruistic-Bobcat955.
- ‘I hate it when games say such things (that the items are only for sale; note from the editor), and later you realize you should have kept them,’ complains A-reader-of-words.
- Fuzzy_Central behaves similarly to the original poster: ‘I save all these items because I am convinced I will craft with them someday.’
Whether the hoarded items will have a use beyond gold later is currently unknown. The community, however, remains skeptical and prefers to save for future changes in the game.
Gold can also be obtained through other means, such as selling berries, as Local_Ad3761 suggests. Or with the most valuable item in the game. Which one it is, has been painstakingly calculated by another player from the community.
