In Destiny 2 there are many activities that players can master solo, and raids are among the most difficult. One Guardian has now completed one of the hardest raids entirely solo, even though teammates are needed in every phase. We’ll show you how he achieved this.
Which raid is meant? This refers to the Raid of the Deep Stone Crypt. While many Guardians can now laugh tiredly with their fireteams, claiming the raid is “easy,” it’s the exact opposite for players who dare to attempt a solo completion – especially when trying to finish without dying.
No one had previously managed to master the entire raid of the Deep Stone Crypt solo and without dying, as it was simply considered impossible, but the YouTuber TheSnazzzyRock proved otherwise. After about 400 hours, he was finally able to defeat Taniks and became the first to complete the Deep Stone Crypt solo and flawlessly.

How did the player achieve this? In an interview with GamesRadar+, the talent talked about his clear and shared behind-the-scenes details on how tough such a clear was. According to him, especially with Taniks: “There are so many things in [DSC-final boss battle] Taniks that you have to deal with. […] The hardest solo encounter in this game, with the flawless DSC being the toughest Destiny solo challenge ever accomplished in the history of Destiny, including Destiny 1.”
In his YouTube description, Snazzzy spoke about spending 400 hours to achieve the clear. 290 hours to master all phases solo and then another 110 hours to complete the solo flawless run.

TheSnazzzyRock had already managed to master many raid phases solo and recorded them in his YouTube videos, but the clear of the DSC raid represents his greatest achievement.
However, many phases had to be completed with glitches, as they were designed only for fireteams. In the first phase with the server room, Snazzzy had to catapult himself out of the backup room. Things got even crazier with Taniks, as the YouTuber had to juggle various buffs and nuclear batteries while managing different positions simultaneously before he could bring Taniks into his damage phase.
As all phases were completed, the YouTuber could barely contain himself. He shouted: “I need to call my mom right now” and “I’m going to pass out!” into the microphone while his live chat exploded and celebrated with him.
What do other guardians say about his victory? On Reddit, the announcement of the world-first solo flawless clears of DSC was celebrated. With 2648 upvotes, the guardians celebrated this achievement, and even the Global Community Lead dmg04 spoke up. Here are some comments:
