In The Division 2 with Title Update 5, two new weapons come, in addition to the Exotics: the assault rifle Carbine 7 and the LMG “Stoner LMG.” The machine gun has 200 rounds – and that without modifications.
These new items come with Title Update 5: With the Title Update 5, which is currently on the PTS, 4 new items are introduced to The Division 2:
- We have introduced the two Exotics here
- The other two weapons are a light machine gun and an assault rifle
This is what the assault rifle can do: It is the assault rifle “Carbine 7”.
It has:
- 30 rounds in the magazine
- fires 790 rounds per minute
- It comes standard with the talent “Overflowing”: After reloading 3 times with an empty magazine, the magazine capacity increases by 100%
How does the Carbine 7 perform? It ranks as “average” in initial tests on the PTS. It is not a weapon that will uproot trees.
With assault rifles, agents have some favorites, like Custom P416. The Carbine 7 seems to struggle to find a place.
This is what the LMG can do: The light machine gun “Stoner LMG” has:
- 200 rounds in the magazine
- Fires 580 bullets per minute
- And comes with the perk “Overwhelm” – suppresses enemies that are not already suppressed, providing 5% weapon damage for 10 seconds, stacking up to 5.

How does the Stoner LMG perform? It performs significantly better. Since LMGs usually need to be reloaded frequently, that is the biggest disadvantage of the weapon class. However, the Stoner can quickly reach 300 rounds with modifications.
And with all the extras and super buffs, it can even go up to 550.

The weapon should cause a stir if used correctly in initial builds.
Here you can see in the video how an agent on the PTS is using the Stoner LMG in the new mission “Camp White Oaks” in The Division 2.
The biggest change on the PTS so far concerns the Raid:
