The popular Erenshor shows on Steam that even computer friends are enough to keep an MMORPG alive. Now there is even the first expansion.
What kind of game is this? Erenshor is an MMORPG without other players. The game offers all the features of a real MMORPG such as lifeskills, dungeons, levels, or boss fights. However, you are not entirely alone as all other players are simulated by the computer.
There are also funny moments, for example when you meet the legendary Leeroy Jenkins. The world only progresses when you are playing. Groups with computer friends are also possible, just like completing quests and challenges together.
Like a real MMORPG, the developers now also have the first expansion available that brings exactly what you want from an addon.
Here you can see the trailer for Erenshor :
The first expansion has everything it needs
What does the first addon contain? The first addon of Erenshor named “Call of the Storm” delivers the namesake Stormcaller as a new class. The mixture of archer and lightning wizard introduces bows and arrows as new weapons to the game. The new class is expected to deal a lot of burst damage and is therefore well-suited for solo players. So those who prefer to go without AI friends will find a good option in it.
To make the start easier for returning players, there’s a quick start that allows you to jump directly into the namesake city Erenshor right after the tutorial. However, those who want can still play through the tutorial.
New is also the zone Willowwatch, which has been freshly added. It is located between the areas Bonepits, Underspine, and Fernalla’s Revival Plains. In line with that, there are also 6 additional quests to complete.
What changes in content? With the first expansion, there are significant changes to the groups in the MMORPG. Instead of the previous 4 characters, now up to 5 players (1 human and 4 AI companions) can be in a group.
To better tackle the endgame, as a player from the expansion, you have more control options over your AI companions. Healers and pullers can be better configured to be more useful, and they should now use their healing items more sensibly.
As with a real MMORPG, there is also a major balance patch for items, abilities, and opponents. This affects both the player and the computer friends.
Even though Erenshor relies on real players, the first expansion sounds just like it belongs in a real MMORPG. You can play Call of the Storm from September 26, 2025, and it will be available for free as an update.
