The MMO first-person shooter “BattleBit Remastered” reaches a new peak in player numbers on Steam. 74,375 players were online at the same time on the night of Sunday, June 25. The secret of the game: There is no catch. For less than €15, there is a lot of game. Especially former fans of Battlefield are excited.
What kind of game is it?

- Battlebit is a chaotic MMO shooter with up to 254 players. The team takes pride in robust anti-cheat mechanics with active moderators. The proximity chat is also highlighted as a feature.
- The special thing about the game: there are no microtransactions, for €14.79 you get the whole game and can unlock additional things through in-game achievements that you would otherwise have to buy in a shop. Only a supporter pack for €19.50 is still being sold on Steam.
Finally, not a free-to-play game that needs to grow
What is the reason for the success? As the site PC Gamer points out, there’s just damn a lot of game for €15:

As PC Gamer says, it seems silly to praise a game for delivering enough value for its money, but you have become accustomed to playing free-to-play shooters that start with little content and develop over time.
In 2023, it’s great to jump back into a game that offers so much content from the start.

A German writes on Steam after 18 hours with BattleBit Remastered: “I hate this game, ever since my life has been going downhill” – who knows what happened there.
It seems that fans of the recently disappointing series “Battlefield” are particularly happy with BattleBit.
