Helldivers 2 has presented a new war bond. There are new items again, but one thing stands out to fans in particular, and that is the upcoming armor.
What is the armor all about? Helldivers 2 has announced a new war bond, “Control Group.” Many fans on Reddit are particularly celebrating one aspect of the war bond, and that is the upcoming armors.
The armors AD-49 and AD-26 come with an integrated defibrillator, allowing you to defy death once – you will be revived after you die. For many, this is a great feature, but now the Helldivers are wondering how effective the defibrillator actually is.
A revival, but without a head?
How will the armor work? If you have equipped one of the two new armors, you will have a one-time chance to be revived if you suffer fatal damage.
The effect of the defibrillator will then be triggered and cannot be activated again – unless you die again and spawn as a fresh soldier on the map. The downside of this effect is that you will constantly take damage after being revived. So it is rather a makeshift solution in battle.
The Reddit user Specialist_Delay_262 raised the question of whether one’s head will be reattached or if it poses a problem when one loses a limb. According to other users on Reddit, the effect is only activated if all limbs are still intact.
That would also make sense, as a Helldiver cannot rain down the power of democracy on their enemies with one arm or leg. One must be fully functional as a soldier, even if some soldiers lose their limbs.

- 3 new stratagems: PLAS-45, LIFT-182, A/LAS-98
- 1 new grenade: G-31
- 2 new banners
- 2 new capes
- 1 new emote
- 1 new title
- 2 new armors
