The gaming year 2025 is packed with interesting titles. As a gamer, it’s easy to lose track of when a game you’ve been looking forward to is being released. A new feature from Steam is here to help you out.
What is this feature? Steam now has a personalized calendar. This shows games that might interest you and when they will be released. The calendar is divided into different categories:
- Games that were released in the last month.
- Games that were released in the last 7 days.
- Games that will be available soon.
In the category of upcoming games, you will see a classic calendar with visual representations of the games that will be released on each day. This way, you can see if any games you are interested in will still be released in October – like The Outer Worlds 2 on October 29 or ARC Raiders on October 30.

Which games are visible in the calendar? The calendar on Steam is personalized, so not all games are displayed that will be released on that day. Valve presents you games that the company believes might interest you based on your playtime.
To narrow down the selection a bit, you can set a maximum number of featured games. Alternatively, you can filter by tags or only display games that are on your wish list. You can also hide games that you already own.

All you have to do is click the link, log into Steam (in your browser) if necessary, and you can check out the calendar directly.
How does Steam select the games? Steam evaluates your playtime in various games in your Steam library. Then the system looks for players whose playtime resembles yours. Steam then checks which games these players have on their wish lists and decides which games to show you in the calendar.
According to Valve, the focus is on games that you play a lot. If you only briefly try out a new game or test a demo, that won’t have much influence on the suggested titles. However, these should be updated daily to ensure that the new data is considered in the suggestions.
