One thing that divides anime fans is the dubbing. Some prefer the Japanese voice acting with German subtitles, while others are waiting for the German dubbing. An upcoming anime shows with a new trailer that viewers can confidently rely on the German version.
Which anime is it about? Gachiakuta is one of the highlights, that fans can look forward to in summer 2025. Here we experience the story from the perspective of Rudo, who is one of the residents of the slums.
- The slums belong to the lower class of society, where criminals are banished. Wealthier people live behind protective walls.
- One day, Rudo is framed for a murder, after which he is thrown into the abyss as punishment. This abyss is referred to as hell and is full of dangerous trash monsters.
- Rudo learns to fight his way through and gets the chance to become a cleaner. These cleaners hunt trash monsters with special weapons.
The protagonist then seizes the chance to take revenge on the upper class. The tone of the anime is rough and dark, as can be seen from the trailer. Now there is a new trailer, which shows an already existing trailer with the German dubbing.
Fans in Germany celebrate a voice of the anime
How is the trailer received? In the comments on YouTube, many fans are enthusiastic about the German dubbing. The top commenter writes that the voice acting is “just peak.” There are many other comments agreeing with him.
In this context, one voice stands out particularly well. A fan was worried that protagonist Rudo would not get a fitting voice. However, he was positively surprised. Other commenters also write that Rudo’s voice sounds “nice” or “pleasantly rough and raspy.”
Who is behind Rudo? The voice of Rudo in the German dubbing is provided by Markus Feustel. He is still a newcomer in the anime sector when it comes to voice acting. So far, he has only been heard as Gates Capa in Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX.
Despite the fact that Feustel has only participated in one anime so far, his voice is extraordinarily well received by the fans.
