Event before the update
What kind of event is it? The head of Dune: Awakening, Joel Bylos, revealed during the livestream that an event will start soon in the game. This is supposed to start before the actual major update “Chapter 2” and the DLC “Lost Harvest”.
The developer did not specify details, but it is clear: the event will take place directly in the game and is supposed to lead to a “chain reaction” related to the events of Chapter 2. In Chapter 2, the main story will be determined by a series of murders that need to be solved.
It is conceivable that players will see mysterious things in the social hubs Harko Village and Arakeen, but this has not yet been confirmed.
What else does he reveal? The developer also talked about the new vehicle that buyers of the DLC “Lost Harvest” can craft starting from Chapter 2. It is not supposed to have significant advantages over existing vehicles and will not be as exclusive as some players initially believed.
The head clarifies that although the vehicle can only be crafted by the owners of the DLC, once it is built, the owners can make it accessible to others. It is conceivable that this will be possible through the normal vehicle management.
Even though the major changes to the Deep Desert are still awaited, the head has already promised new opportunities for variety there. Players can look forward to more diverse layouts.
