The creators of Game of Thrones have released a new trailer for the upcoming spin-off series. It focuses on a legendary knight who became famous for his deeds.
What kind of series is this? After Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, fans can now look forward to a new series from the GoT universe. It is called A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
The series takes place 89 years before the events of Game of Thrones and 77 years after the finale of the second season of House of the Dragon. It focuses on the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg.
Ser Duncan is played by Peter Claffey, whom you might know as Dunstan from Vikings: Valhalla. Egg is portrayed by Dexter Soll Ansell, who began acting in series like Emmerdale at the age of 2 and has also been seen as young Coriolanus Snow in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.

How does Ser Duncan appear in GoT? Ser Duncan is mentioned exactly twice in Game of Thrones:
- In Season 1, Old Nan asks the paralyzed Bran Stark if he wants to hear a story about the great knights. She mentions Ser Duncan.
- In Season 4, young King Joffrey Baratheon reads from a directory of all members of the Kingsguard. Ser Duncan has accomplished so many great deeds that he fills whole pages and impresses Joffrey.
The knight, however, does not appear in Game of Thrones as he is already deceased by that time. However, we see a descendant of his in the series, who is also striving to become a great knight.
What do fans say about the trailer? Under the YouTube video of the new trailer, there are two camps of fans. Some are excited about the trailer and praise its “light-hearted and warm atmosphere” from the book.
Some even notice special details in the trailer, such as the fact that Baelor stands at the front during a lineup.
Another user is already frustrated that probably only a few episodes will be released and he has to wait for new episodes. However, this shows that he liked the trailer so much that he doesn’t want to wait any longer for new episodes.
