One of the most anticipated anime series of the fall season 2024 is DAN DA DAN. The third trailer for the anime has now been released and reveals what day the series will debut.
What is DAN DA DAN? The anime is based on the manga of the same name. Currently, the manga is in 13th place among the most read mangas from Shueisha (via MANGA Plus), where One Piece and Naruto are also published.
- DAN DA DAN tells a crazy story where tough Momo and the nerdy Okarun go on the hunt for paranormal activities.
- Okarun is convinced that aliens exist. Momo, on the other hand, is convinced of the existence of ghosts.
- The two try to convince each other that only one of the two types exists. To visit the curious beings, they go to the mysterious places.
- The Japanese voice actress of Ruffy even plays a part. She voices a being named Turbo Granny.
When and where can I watch the new anime? DAN DA DAN will premiere on both Crunchyroll and Netflix. If you have a subscription to either of the two streaming services, you can watch the anime in the fall. The exact start date is set for October 3, 2024.

DAN DA DAN has several parallels to Jujutsu Kaisen
What does the trailer show? The trailer already shows some of the grotesque creatures that Momo and Okarun will have to face. We see a crab with numerous masks on its back or a creature that looks like a man, from whose pants a pair of scissors emerges.
Music fans will also be happy about the participation of Creepy Nuts. The artist contributes the opening theme. Many may already know the musician from the intro of the second season of Mashle: Magic and Muscles, which became a viral hit.
Why is DAN DA DAN also something for fans of Jujutsu Kaisen? Similar to Jujutsu Kaisen, the protagonists deal with ghosts. In addition to ghosts, there are also aliens that must be fought.
Moreover, one of the protagonists has a similar case to Yuji Itadori from Jujutsu Kaisen: he is possessed by a ghost and thus gains special powers.
Watching closely, viewers will discover even more similarities in the anime. The screenplay is written by Hiroshi Seko, who also worked on Jujutsu Kaisen.
