A VR MMORPG on Steam has recently received a major update that improves not only your movement but also the combat system.
Which game is this about? Ilysia is an MMORPG on Steam that is currently in Early Access. With its concept it aims to redefine the future of the genre, as Ilysia is played with a VR set, allowing you to dive directly into the game world.
Since its launch in October 2023, the game has only received an overall rating of “Mixed”. However, it should be noted that only about 140 players have submitted a review. Now there has been a major update that has nearly completely overhauled many aspects of the game.

What has been revised? With the last update, many aspects have been fundamentally revised, as the developers announced. Among other things, the movement options have been partially modified and improved.
This includes everything from walking, running, jumping, and crawling to gliding. You can now run and swim with appropriate arm movements instead of using the joystick.
In addition to improvements of these actions, new ones have also been added. You will be able to climb again in Ilysia. Among other things, you can ascend ladders or ropes. Additionally, there are now zip lines that you can use for faster movement.
No cooldown for melee attacks
The combat system has also been heavily revised with this update. This should affect both you and the opponents. Among other things, there is no longer a cooldown for melee attacks, the range of hits has been adjusted, and blocking with a shield should now work.
The opponents have been adjusted so that they react better in combat. In the future, they plan to build their game on this foundation and deliver more and more updates for continuous improvement.
