In the hellish hordes of Diablo 4, a feature is currently causing significant frustration. The developers have heard the criticism and are addressing it with the upcoming update. We summarize the most important points from the patch notes for version 2.4.1.
What disturbs the players? Season 10 is currently well received by many fans – especially due to the new Chaos Uniques and the fresh endgame changes. However, one feature is causing complaints on Reddit almost daily: the Soul Towers in the hellish hordes.
The problem: Only kills that occur directly within the radius of the towers count. The fact that far too few monsters spawn in the circles and that other players, skills, or minions can pull enemies out of the zone disrupts the dynamics of this popular activity. For many players, this is extremely frustrating. Blizzard is now reacting and changing the mechanics.

Blizzard revises the Soul Towers
What will change about the Soul Towers? Specifically, the range of the towers will be increased and players will be attacked more frequently by monsters within the circle. This is intended to enhance the action-packed feel of the hellish hordes, without removing the risk factor of the towers (via Blizzard).
Additionally, the skill “The Sneaky Hellbloods” will be revised so that there will be more raids by the Hellbloods in the waves.
The more monsters you kill during the waves and the faster you are, the more ether you collect. You can invest the ether at the end of your run in various loot chests.
