With Season 10 came new features and adjustments in Diablo 4, which are supposed to create excitement again, but one thing bothers the fans greatly and it has to do with the Soul Towers.
What bothers the fans? It concerns the Soul Towers in the Infernal Hordes. Before Season 10, they could be completed comfortably since the progress of defeated enemies also counted when you defeated enemies outside the radius. However, with Season 10, Blizzard changed the mechanics. Now, only kills that occur within the radius count.
This causes angry reactions among fans, as far too few enemies spawn in the circles and other players, who ignore these Soul Towers, also pull enemies away from the ritual. For many, these Soul Towers seem now useless.
“Just remove them completely”
What do fans say about the change? They are not at all satisfied and are generally questioning the usefulness of the Soul Towers. With the restriction that has been implemented since Season 10, Blizzard could have also removed the towers from the game. The following can be heard on Reddit:
- “Please just remove them completely at this point. Triple Soul Towers on the screen ruin all the fun of the improved hordes. Because in my opinion they have gotten better. Much better. But the towers ruin everything.” – Hakkdunu
- “Pro tip for dealing with towers: Just don’t do it. If you have 3 towers on the screen, every event will necessarily appear in the 4th section. You can just stand there, kill mobs/events, and don’t have to run around on the screen. Is that optimal? Absolutely not. But it’s faster than wasting time with towers.” – devindran
- “Lol, they now give 5 times as much material and still found a way to mess it up.” – Fluffy_Woodpecker733
Divided_we_ at least mentions a form of “solution” that can’t always be applied but makes the towers more bearable. With a bit of luck, you can select a gift that pulls your enemies into the circle with you. If you’re unlucky, which should be the case most of the time, it will be difficult to complete the towers successfully.
Will the Soul Towers be adjusted again? According to the Director of Social & Content Marketing, Adam Fletcher, Blizzard has already planned some changes for the Soul Towers. What those changes will be remains unclear at this time.
In any case, there are other activities in Diablo 4 besides the Infernal Hordes that you can dive into. To be successful here, you should have a strong build ready. Therefore, we provide you with the best builds you should play in the current Season 10 in the tier list.
