Fallout 76 will soon have a new vendor where you can trade certain notes for legendary items. A player has now found a selection of possible weapons and armor from her offerings in the game files.
What does the vendor offer? Overall, the reddit user eckserah has found nearly 200 weapons and armor pieces that the legendary vendor will offer. Among them are also some special items such as:
- an Ultracite Gatling Laser
- the Impro Revolver
- a Bone Hammer
- Scout Armor
There are also special items in the list, such as a shovel or the Döner knife, which fans have been discussing for some time.
On Thursday, May 16, the vendor will appear and from then on you can see if the list is accurate. The vendor will then be located at the train station in Berkeley Springs.
What are the chances of getting what I want? Currently, it seems that each item has the same chance of being received upon purchase, as the legendary vendor only determines the type of item (melee, ranged, armor) and the number of stars (1-3).
Everything else is random and will be set by the vendor at the time of purchase.
However, there are some items like the wooden armor, which according to the list can only appear in a 1-star variant. Whether there is a chance to obtain it from a 3-star purchase or if the list becomes smaller at 3 stars, is still unknown.
What do fans say: The list delights players. Especially the Scout Armor brings joy, as this armor is seen as the best armor in the game, besides the special Power Armors.
Weapons like the Impro Revolver or the Ultracite Gatling Laser are also highly sought after, as currently there is no other way to obtain the revolver as a legendary item.
Other fans fear, however, that it will be very unlikely to get the item they want. The shovel is often referred to as “new rolling pin,” which gained a dubious reputation as legendary loot when dropped by the Queen of the Scorchbeasts. Opinions vary on this. However, most fans are satisfied with the items.
How to buy items from the legendary vendor
To buy the items, you first need legendary notes. You get these by putting old legendary armor into exchange machines, which you can find at every train station since Patch 9.
The number of notes you receive depends on how powerful the legendary item was that you exchanged. You can then trade these notes for corresponding new items at the vendor.
