The Bugatti Mistral is a 6 million euro vehicle. The CEO of Bugatti even came personally for the inauguration in Miami. And the traffic authority closed a road for a special car race.
What car are we talking about? The Bugatti Mistral is a roadster, of which only 99 units were produced. The starting price is at least 5,950,000 euros, with additional upgrades or features making the vehicle correspondingly more expensive. In November 2024, the Mistral set a new top speed world record for open vehicles at 453.91 km/h.
The delivery of a Mistral is supposed to be an event. In one case, the CEO of Bugatti even personally came to deliver the car and race it. And with the permission of the local traffic authority.
The Bugatti Mistral races against a sports yacht
What an action that was? In one case, Anthony Hsieh, a millionaire from Miami, allegedly bought a Mistral. But instead of a normal handover, there was supposed to be a car race: The new Bugatti was to race against the buyer’s sports yacht off the coast of Miami.
The CEO of Bugatti, Mate Rimac, did not want to take any risks and get stopped by the police or even have to pay a fine. So he convinced the Miami traffic authority to close one of Miami’s busy coastal roads for the race, as he reported on his social media. In his Instagram post, you can see him sitting in the car next to the buyer of the Bugatti Mistral while the police have closed the road in the background. On Instagram, he writes:
Bad Company Fishing Adventures has just received their beautiful Bugatti Mistral and a custom 50-foot carbon boat. So we did what any reasonable person would do – we hosted a race! That was cool.
YouTuber Manny Khoshbin also owns a rare Bugatti, specifically a Bolide. However, he has to change the tires every 58 kilometers because they wear out so quickly. The price per set of tires: about 7,000 euros. Such prices are likely to come to the owner of the Bugatti Mistral: YouTuber has a luxury car for 4 million – But to drive it, he has to pay 7,000 euros every 58 kilometers
