9 nasty mimics in D&D that make even the bravest adventurers paranoid

Mimic House

An Entire Building

Anyone who has seen the animated film “Monster House” from 2006 will understand what kind of monstrosity one would deal with.

It could be a massive elder mimic that has many years behind it and adventurers on its conscience.

Whether a ruin, an abandoned village, or a castle – as long as the appearance of the mimic suggests strong prey, the creature will never go hungry.

The shock of the group when they realize that they do not need to look for the monster, but are already inside the monster since entering the building can be a great and horror-filled moment of realization that the group will never forget.

These were just a few variants of mimics that adventurers would prefer not to encounter. Even though I can definitely say that I have come to regard mimics as my archenemy due to my bad luck, I appreciate the creative ideas that the dungeon masters from the community come up with.

Do you have any mimics that you have encountered or that you still have in your repertoire to unleash on your unsuspecting fellow players? Feel free to let us know in the comments.
