Borderlands 4 is coming soon with countless new weapons. We’re looking back at some of our favorites.
The Borderlands series is known not only for its comic-style graphics, fast-paced shooter gameplay, and outrageous humor, but especially for the immense amounts of loot that can be collected.
Borderlands 4 will not be any different, with “billions of weapons” supposedly available in the game this time – and the customizable parts system adds even more variety.
However, weapons in Borderlands are often not only for crafting the best possible build, but sometimes also quite outrageous. With the release of Borderlands 4, we’re looking back at some crazy weapons that could very well appear in the new game.
Hellwalker
The Hellwalker is not a particularly silly weapon, but it is extremely powerful! This shotgun quickly became one of the favorites for many players in Borderlands 3 – at least until it was nerfed because it was simply too popular and many builds were oriented around it.
It deals fire damage but also has enough base damage to break through shields. Most notably, a short metal guitar riff plays whenever you equip or fire the gun – a reference to the clear inspiration for this weapon: the Doom series.

Superball
Super Mario and Borderlands have little in common, but the weapon “Superball” bridges a gap between the games. Its weapon description is “Flower Power,” making the reference clear: it works just like the Fire Flower from Super Mario.
The bouncing fireballs may not have been the greatest damage dealers in Borderlands 3, but they surely appeal to fans of the Super Mario series.
Gettleburger
A pretty crazy weapon, for example, seen with Joltzdude139 on YouTube:
The Gettleburger is a prime example of Borderlands weapons that are a little different: The gun doesn’t shoot bullets but flying burgers. However, since it doesn’t deal enough damage to blast a tasty treat into an enemy’s face, the things explode as well.
Especially nice: there was an animation on the weapon in Borderlands 3 that also depicted flying burgers. Delicious!
