Shirley Curry, affectionately known as the “Skyrim Grandma”, enjoys playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, as her name suggests. Over 9 years ago, she created a YouTube channel, where she has uploaded over 2,000 videos of the game. Now, she is turning her attention to another game: Oblivion Remastered.
Who is she about? The American Shirley Curry is an 89-year-old gamer who plays a lot of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. On her YouTube channel, she has uploaded not only over 2,000 videos of Skyrim gameplay but also occasional vlogs where she talks about her life.
With her channel, she has now reached over 1.3 million subscribers. However, she eventually said goodbye to the game Skyrim. You can see more about it in our video:

What game is the Skyrim Grandma playing now? Shirley Curry has now turned to the game Oblivion. However, not the original game from 2006, but the Remastered version from 2025. The first gameplay video that Shirley Curry uploaded was fittingly titled “Learning”. The second was named “Still Learning”.
The 89-year-old took her time to examine everything closely and commented on her first steps with: “I need to see how everything looks. I have never been here before. Pretty mushroom” (via YouTube).
What is being criticized? In the first few minutes of gameplay, Shirley Curry already has some criticism. She finds the controls not very good and says: “Ugly controls. Just absolutely ugly controls” (via YouTube).
However, the 89-year-old seems to be excited about everything else, as she quickly states: “Nice tree” (via YouTube).
