Since June 2025, it has been known that there will be a 7 vs. Wild Season 5. This was confirmed by the team at the production company Calivision Network GmbH in a statement on social media. The final confirmation for the broader audience came from Amazon on August 27, 2025. MeinMMO will tell you when it starts, who is involved, and where it was filmed.

The new season premieres two weeks ahead on Amazon Prime Video. Freevee is now integrated there. This year, viewers from Switzerland are also expected to be able to watch the season on Amazon Prime.

Fritz Meinecke is not an official candidate this year and is also not involved in the production of the season. He has withdrawn from the format. He will be replaced by the local host Hervé Neukomm.
The fifth season was filmed in the Amazon rainforest
In a video about the series, Amazon announced where this year’s season will take place. The new season takes place in the Amazon rainforest . Instead of on the coast, at a lake, or in a valley, the participants are sent into the dense, relentless jungle. Geographically, the participants can expect a humid tropical climate with extremely high humidity.
The new season will be filmed in a challenging and uncontrollable location intended to push the participants to their limits. Starting a fire and searching for food are the central survival strategies here.
What do the candidates need to pay attention to this year?
The focus this year is again extremely on survival and less on simply “waiting out” the time. The candidates must navigate the dense jungle and cope with extreme conditions such as humid heat, poisonous animals, and unpredictable weather conditions. Building a shelter that provides protection is likely to be more critical than ever this year.
As in Seasons 3 and 4, the series will be filmed again this year for 14 days. Which items the participants will ultimately receive is still uncertain.
