After 7 vs. Wild, the participants had some free time before returning to Germany. One participant decided to bring something back to Germany that would later cause an unpleasant surprise.
Which participant is it? In a clip from a stream on TikTok, Kevin “Papaplatte” Teller (26) tells a story about substitute Jan Schlappen (25). After the time at 7 vs. Wild, the freerunner decided to use the remaining free time to go fishing in Canada.
The fishing apparently went very well, and the participant was able to catch a big fish. However, instead of eating the fish on site, Jan Schlappen apparently wanted to transport the fish back to Germany on the plane. This was probably a mistake, as the extreme athlete would soon find out.
One of the participants of Season 3 is Twitch streamer Jens “Knossi” Knossalla. You can see more about him in our video.
The transport to Germany becomes a problem
What happened at the airport? Upon arriving at the airport, Jan Schlappen apparently faced a problem. He wanted to book an extra luggage piece for the fish to transport it chilled back to Germany.
This was, however, probably no longer possible so close to departure. Thus, the participant had to find another solution to transport the fish back to Germany.
How did the fish get to Germany? To be able to take the fish along, Jan Schlappen is said to have stored the fish in the “Drybag” of participant Wieland “Rumathra” Welte.
The “Drybag” is a waterproof bag used in outdoor activities to keep items dry. In Rumathra’s “Drybag”, the fish allegedly made its journey to Germany.
Did everything work out? The flight apparently went without problems; however, Rumathra’s luggage along with the “Drybag” was lost.
On-site, the streamer could not recover the luggage and apparently filed an online request for the luggage to be delivered. When the luggage finally arrived, however, the streamer experienced an unpleasant surprise.
You can watch the whole story in the video here:
What was the unpleasant surprise? Upon the arrival of the luggage, the streamer reportedly smelled his “Drybag”. Rumathra said in the stream:
[…] and then my Drybag arrives, and it stinks so terribly, right, because it came like 2, 3 days later
Rumathra in the stream excerpt
Apparently, the fish spoiled during the time the luggage was lost. What eventually happened to the fish is not revealed in the video.
At 7 vs. Wild, the participants actually should not have had to hunger as much as they did. While the participants were very cautious with the plants, Knossi and Sascha Huber had plenty of fish. Additionally, the locals of the shooting location recently revealed what diverse plants were available on the island. We reported here about everything the participants could have eaten.
