Who is Mad Hatter? As the name suggests, the villain is based on the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. Jervis Tetch is obsessed with Alice and uses advanced hats to control his victims.
The Mad Hatter is a regular visitor to Arkham Asylum and, like many other inmates, he regularly escapes and holds his tea parties
, which Batman must thwart. But although he seems mad, he is an intelligent opponent with a good understanding of gadgets.
Why would the Mad Hatter make a good movie villain? The Mad Hatter not only uses innocents to commit crimes, but he also has a unique style due to the connection to Alice in Wonderland. Even in the Arkham games, he showed that he primarily plays with Batman’s perception, making him a unique villain in a film.
