If you want an explosive event, the Transformers from Hasbro are not far away. In 2007, the transforming robots met the New Avengers, which include Iron Man, Spider-Man, or Wolverine. The story takes place in Latveria, the land of Doctor Doom.
There, the Marvel heroes encounter familiar Transformers, including fan favorites like Optimus Prime. As in some other examples from this list, epic battles erupt, where at first, little attention is paid to whether they could unite against a common enemy.
Only after some time do the New Avengers team up with the good Transformers, like Optimus Prime, and a few others to fight against the evil Decepticons, led by Megatron. This all culminates – typical of Transformers – in explosive material battles.
