Marvel Zombies is already an absurd version of the usual stories. It takes place in an alternate universe where the superheroes have been turned into zombies by a virus. It’s a natural fit to pair them with another franchise that excels in supernatural themes: Army of Darkness, which emerged from Evil Dead.
The protagonist Ash Williams finds himself in the zombie-infested universe of Marvel, naturally equipped with fitting weapons – including the iconic chainsaw. As the superheroes have gone rogue, devouring innocent people indiscriminately, Ash must intervene. As is typical for the franchise, this occurs in a very bloody and disgusting manner. Anyone interested in Marvel’s zombie universe should keep an eye on a new series.
