In Red Dead Redemption 2, you can expect many fun Easter eggs. Encounter a character from the Jungle Book, creepy undead, a UFO, and of course, Bigfoot.
Since the release, players in Red Dead Redemption 2 have been busy searching for Easter eggs. These are encounters in the game linked to other games, movies, myths, or real-world events. For example, you can find a huge snake resembling Kaa from the Jungle Book by a tree.
Easter Eggs – Locations in Red Dead Redemption 2
Rockstar Games loves to include Easter eggs in their games. And players love to find them. In GTA 5, for instance, you could play as Teen Wolf.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is no exception. YouTuber Arekkz recently showcased his top 7 Easter eggs in RDR 2, which we will briefly introduce to you here.
Finding Big Foot in RDR 2
Where is Big Foot? You need to travel to the western part of the map, to West Eliza. Set the waypoint to the left of the “T” in West near Mount Shann. There, you must follow the path up the mountain.
What happens there? Under a rock overhang, you will find a giant skeleton that apparently belongs to Big Foot. You can examine it, and Arthur will make a drawing of it. There is also a note where Arthur writes that he is unsure whether it was even a human.
The Hobbit House from The Lord of the Rings
Where is the Hobbit House? Set the waypoint far north above Grizzlies East, east of Donner Falls. On the map, there is a small building marked that you can ride to.
What happens there? There, you will find a grass-covered house like those known from The Lord of the Rings. Arthur will also make a small drawing for his journal there.
The UFO in RDR 2
Where can the UFO be found? The UFO appears above a house in New Hanover. Set your waypoint diagonally right above the “N” in Hanover. There is a small lake. Above the lake, a building is marked on the map, which you should travel to.
What do you need to do to see the UFO? If you enter the house during the day, you will find skeletons, and the music changes. On the table at the head of the building, there is a letter. If you read it, you will know to come back at 2:00 a.m.
If you then visit the house again around 2:00 a.m., the UFO will appear. Upon entering the house, you will immediately see the beams and the unknown flying object in the sky. If you then exit the house, the UFO will take off.
The Meteor House in Red Dead Redemption 2
Where can the Meteor House be found? Set your waypoint in the northeast of the map. Above Annesburg and over Roanoke Valley, there is a single house found on the map. That is your destination.
What indicates a meteor? In the house, you will quickly notice that an event occurred before your arrival. There are a few dead people and a crater in the floor from which smoke is rising. Apparently, it is a meteor impact.
Nite-Folk – A creepy encounter
Where is the encounter with the Nite-Folk? You can find this special encounter at Bluewater Marsh, south of Annesburg. Set the waypoint diagonally right under the “M” in Marsh. It is important that you are there at night. The time does not matter, but it should be dark. You won’t find the Easter egg there during the day.
What happens with the Nite-Folk? At this location, you will find a body hanging from a tree with a rope. As you approach the body, creepy figures suddenly appear behind the trees, wanting to gut you. After you shoot them, you can loot them.
Once the Nite-Folk are gone, you can shoot the rope tying the body to the tree. When you loot this corpse, you will receive a letter. It states that the person was already being hunted by the Nite-Folk in his dreams and that it now happens during the day as well.
Snake Kaa from the Jungle Book – Location
Where is Kaa in RDR 2? The location of this giant snake is directly near the location of the Nite-Folk. Southwest of Bluewater Marsh, directly to the right of the “O” in Lemoyne, you should set the marker.
Because Kaa hides well, you should best search for the animal during the day when the sun is out. It hangs in one of the trees. Here is a detail shot of the map section. Does Kaa attack me? No. The snake hangs lifeless over the branches of the tree. It is believed that this huge snake is a reference to the Jungle Book. So far, no way of interacting with the snake is known.
Where can the creepy woman be found? For this Easter egg, you need to travel from the last point with Kaa further south to Braithwaite Manor.
To the west of Braithwaite Manor, you will find a small single point near the water on the map. There, you will find a wooden hut that is chained up.
What happens with the woman? If you look through the slit in the door, you will find a creepy woman. She mumbles some numbers to herself and sometimes extends her arm out of the opening.
This could be a reference to the horror movie Evil Dead.
