Sea of Thieves – Pirate Fun in Color
The pirate MMO Sea of Thieves unleashes a full broadside of pirate clichés. Alone or with a crew of up to four other buccaneers, you sail across the oceans, dig up treasures, raid other players, and drink your spoils until you feel sick!
On to the Treasure Hunt!
In Sea of Thieves, you have great freedom and can do whatever you want. In the previous beta, you could buy treasure maps and travel to remote islands to retrieve the loot.
In the full version, much more is supposed to come, as dataminers have recently discovered in the code of Sea of Thieves. Additionally, the developers promise many new contents at the launch of Sea of Thieves.
The Full Pirate Life!
But even if you’re just sailing around and causing mischief, Sea of Thieves is a lot of fun. Its ship controls require you to trim the sails, steer the ship, and drop anchor if necessary.
Otherwise, you might run aground, and your ship could spring a leak, requiring you to quickly bail water out to avoid sinking.
In Sea of Thieves, you can also:
- Make lively pirate music
- Lock annoying teammates in the brig
- Drink rum until you vomit
- Shoot yourself out of cannons
- Make people walk the plank
- Search for treasures underwater and avoid sharks
Sea of Thieves will be released on March 20, 2018, for PC and Xbox One. Crossplay is expected between both platforms. Here you will find out which versions and goodies you can order from Sea of Thieves.
Some particularly silly scenes from the beta can be found here in the video.
On Page Three comes a game that keeps getting better.
