Insider Tip – Warframe – Plains of Eidolon
The update Plains of Eidolon for the coop shooter Warframe does not have a concrete release date yet, but it could be released in October. According to internal plans, it should have come out at the end of September, and the developers are working hard to get the expansion out soon.
Plains of Eidolon – Open World Instead of Narrow Corridors
Plains of Eidolon will finally bring a feature to Warframe that many players have long wished for. Because until now, you have only roamed through tunnel-like indoor areas or not notably open outdoor areas in Warframe. The game world has always been limited and winding, with no trace of open world.
That changes with Plains of Eidolon. Here, you will explore vast plains where various enemies lurk. However, when night falls, the gameplay changes. More dangerous enemies will emerge then, and only players who are fit for the endgame stand a chance. Of course, there will be better loot than for the daytime coffee trip.
Fight Kaiju a la Pacific Rim!
The Plains of Eidolon are not named for fun. The term Eidolon refers in Warframe to gigantic monsters. Internally, the developers at Digital Extremes call the beasts “Kaiju” – just like Godzilla or the giant monsters from the movie Pacific Rim.
Such a colossus cannot simply be taken down with a gun or sword. Rather, you need the special void powers of your Warframe operator. As a vulnerable human, you must weaken the Eidolon accordingly. Only then can you fight and injure the beast with the Warframe.
Warframe is available for free download on PC as well as for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. And if Plains of Eidolon doesn’t materialize unexpectedly in October, checking out Warframe is definitely worth it.
