FIFA 18 – The Story Continues!
The football spectacle FIFA continues on September 29, 2017. With FIFA 18 comes a new football experience for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Slimmed-down versions are even available for the PS3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Switch. A major highlight of the game is the long-awaited continuation of the story, the big novelty from FIFA 17.
The Journey: Hunter Returns – The Further Career of Alex Hunter
The story mode of FIFA 18 continues to revolve around the career of young football star Alex Hunter. After his great success in FIFA 17, the question now is whether Hunter will stay with his club or make a transfer. Possibly to Real Madrid?
As usual, you will play Hunter not only on the field but also in the office, the locker room, or at home. Familiar characters return, and new ones may also appear, possibly Hunter’s girlfriend. Famous footballers like Cristiano Ronaldo have guest appearances in the game. At times, you will also get to play other characters besides Hunter.
FUT 18 – Icons for Everyone!
A major new feature in FIFA 18 concerns the FUT mode. FUT stands for FIFA Ultimate Team and gives you the opportunity to build your dream team from the best players in the world.
New here is the ability to acquire football legends, the so-called Icons, for your team. This was previously only possible in the Xbox version of FIFA; in FIFA 18, it is available everywhere. Anyone who has always wanted legendary footballers like Pelé, Diego Maradona, Lothar Matthäus, or the other Ronaldo in their team can now seize the opportunity.
Also new in FIFA 18:
- Squad Battles against other teams from the community
- Daily and weekly “quests,” called Objectives
- New Squad Building Challenges, where you exchange your teams for rewards
