The Bundesliga season is over, but the next one won’t take long to come. Some players impressed last season so much that their ratings from FIFA 21 definitely need to be adjusted in the next installment. Which Bundesliga players should improve in FIFA 22?
What kind of list is this? Every year, the FIFA ratings play a major role for fans. Which players have improved? Which are getting worse? Who is suitable for their own Ultimate Team or as a star in Career Mode? They always spark major discussions.
The ratings are based on the players’ abilities in real football. Today, we take a look at some players from the Bundesliga who made a name for themselves last season – and who should receive improved ratings in FIFA 22.
André Silva
Here’s why André Silva needs to improve: The Frankfurt player impressed last season with an exceptionally strong ratio. 28 goals and 8 assists in 32 games tell a clear story and helped Eintracht Frankfurt secure a spot in Europa.
Silva is already surrounded by transfer rumors thanks to this strong performance. But wherever Silva will play: it’s certain that he will receive a noticeably better rating than his 79 in FIFA 21.
Silas Wamangituka
Here’s why Wamangituka needs to improve: The lightning-fast forward of VfB Stuttgart had a really good season with 16 goal contributions in 25 games. However, the season ended bitterly for him with a serious injury – otherwise the numbers might have been even stronger.
Even in FIFA 21, the 5-star skiller was popular, especially in the silver modes, but also impressed with a strong TOTS card. However, his regular silver card is quite weak with 70 points. In FIFA 22, an upgrade is definitely deserved.
Angeliño
Here’s why Angeliño needs to improve: The Spaniard at RB Leipzig can be found almost everywhere on the left side of the field. He was active both defensively and offensively, preventing goals while also creating danger upfront.
However, in FIFA 21, he only had a base rating of 80, which no longer reflects his value. An upgrade is due – similar to several other Leipzig players who ultimately helped the club secure second place behind Bayern. As a member of the Bundesliga TOTS, Angelino has good chances for an upgrade.
Wout Weghorst
Here’s why Weghorst needs to improve: The player from Wolfsburg is also someone whose numbers can simply speak for themselves. 20 goals and 9 assists in 34 Bundesliga matches is a strong ratio that played a significant role in VfL’s performance. In the end, Wolfsburg finished 4th in the table.
In FIFA 21, Weghorst had an 81-rated card, whose pace was its biggest weakness. This made Weghorst relatively harmless in play. FIFA 22 should improve on this.
Marvin Friedrich
Here’s why Friedrich needs to improve: Union Berlin surprised everyone this season and played really high in the table. Eventually, the Berliners finished in 7th place – thanks also to the strong performances of Marvin Friedrich.
The defender provided a solid defense, currently holds the highest market value at Union (via Transfermarkt.de), and is also the best-rated player of the club according to Kicker’s ranking (via Kicker.de). However, in FIFA 21 he only has a 74-rated card – so an upgrade is due in the next installment.
Andrej Kramaric
Here’s why Kramaric needs to improve: Two Inform cards and a Player of the Month award in FUT already indicate that Kramaric had a solid season.
No wonder: 28 games, 20 goals, 6 assists – the numbers are positive for Hoffenheim as well. His Gold card in FIFA 22 should therefore be significantly better than his current 82-rated card.
Whether all these players will even remain in the Bundesliga next season is still uncertain – after all, beside the EM, there’s also a transfer window coming up in summer. Meanwhile, FIFA 21 is still running the Team of the Season event, which is slowly coming to an end.
