Rank 2: World Devastator
Just the name sends shivers down your spine. World Devastators are essentially spaceships that can shatter any surface, no matter how resilient, thanks to their strong armament. They were used by none other than Emperor Palpatine, and you can see what they look like in the Wookiepedia.
The planets that are attacked do not just explode, as occurs after an attack by the Death Star. The surface shatters and everything that is destroyed can be recycled by the World Devastator. With these raw materials, new weapons are manufactured, such as those that are then directly implemented into the spaceship, star cruisers, or, in the worst case, new World Devastators.
Thus, a single one is theoretically capable of creating more of its kind and building an immense military force. Furthermore, Palpatine has the power to control each of these superweapons. This way, he can prevent anyone from his own ranks from committing treason and using a World Devastator against him. The terrible weapon first appeared in the comic “Dark Empire 2” in 1992.
