Rank 4: The Child of Shaa
Small but mighty: at first glance, the Child of Shaa does not seem like a dangerous superweapon. It is actually a small statue that had a counterpart, the “Mother”. Both were created by the inhabitants of the planet Seylott, around 27 years before the events of Episode 4. You can see an image of it in the Wookiepedia.
The statue is a sacred artifact that has the ability to disturb the balance of the Force in a way that can lead to great destruction. Entire worlds can be annihilated in the blink of an eye. The weapon changed hands multiple times and eventually ended up with the terrorist Ashaar Korda. He intended to use the Child of Shaa to destroy all of Coruscant. This venture was prevented at the last moment by bounty hunter Jango Fett and his allies.
The particularly dangerous aspect of the Child of Shaa is not only its seemingly unlimited ability to unleash strong energy. It is also that the weapon is very small and easy to hide – unlike the Death Star, which is visible from afar. Smuggling the Child of Shaa is therefore not difficult, making it even more insidious. The weapon made its debut in the comic “Jango Fett” from 2002.
