4. Every player or midlaner should play the champion Twisted Fate
Who is Twisted Fate? The champion Twisted Fate is mostly played in the mid lane, which is Faker’s position. He throws cards around that have different effects and can teleport himself and allied champions across great distances on the Summoner’s Rift using his ultimate.
Why should you play and learn Twisted Fate? In a MOBA, not only champions or heroes are important. It’s about destroying buildings to break the Nexus and win the game. To do this, a lane must be pushed by one or more champions.
In most cases, a push is only possible if the opposing champion is not currently on the lane. This is where one of the most important skills of a good MOBA player comes into play, and the reason Faker says you should learn Twisted Fate: the so-called map awareness.
How does Twisted Fate help you gain better map awareness? With Twisted Fate’s ultimate, you can teleport to a distant location on the map. This is especially smart when you see that a fight is taking place on the map or if a lane is being pushed that is not being defended. This means it’s the perfect moment to use the ultimate to gain an advantage for your team.
Faker believes that while playing Twisted Fate, you learn to constantly keep an eye on the map to find the right moment for the ultimate. At the same time, a glance at the map provides you with important information about the game:
- Where are the enemies?
- Which lane can I safely push?
- Did I see the jungler who could gank me soon?
- Where is help needed right now?
- Which epic jungle monsters and important buffs are currently available?
