What’s new now: With the NextGen versions of FIFA 21 for PS5 and Xbox Series, you get updated versions of the football simulations with improvements in the areas of graphics, presentation, and loading times. However, there are no new modes or content.

1. New intro with PSG and Liverpool
What’s new: When you start the game for the first time, you will be served a stylish new intro sequence that showcases the graphical innovations of the NextGen versions. In this, you see Liverpool and Paris meet and enter the field with ball kids.

2. Improved graphic details
What’s new: As could already be admired in the new intro, there are some graphic improvements in the NextGen versions of FIFA 21. Particularly, the facial models of well-known players are now significantly more detailed.
However, especially the hair of some superstars has been revised. EA strongly promotes the strand-hair technology, which can render the hairstyles of the players even more accurately and finely.

3. Faster loading times
What’s new: As expected, FIFA 21 also utilizes the capabilities of the new consoles, offering significantly shorter loading times. From the menu to the field, it now only takes a few seconds.
This makes the classic training mini-games that appear during loading times virtually unnecessary.
4. New celebrations
What’s new: On reddit, players have already discovered a new celebration in the NextGen versions. This is played when a winning goal is scored in the last minutes of a match.
It looks intense, and you can watch it here:
5. New camera perspective
What’s new: Right at the start, the NextGen version surprises with an unusual new camera perspective called “Gamecam.” This is much closer to the action and moves dynamically. However, whether it appeals to every player remains to be seen.
In the menu, you can still select your favorite camera perspective as usual. In this gameplay video, you can take a look at the new “Gamecam”:
