Guild Wars 2 – Path of Fire brings an epic story

Guild Wars 2 is getting a new expansion called Path of Fire on September 22, 2017. It continues just as epic as we know it from the third season of the living story and the predecessor expansion Heart of Thorns.

This time, however, it’s not just about dragons, but about the god Balthazar, who is causing trouble and threatening the balance in Tyria. Your heroes must step in again to uncover the god’s motives and prevent him from causing irreparable damage.

Guild Wars 2 – Mounts for everyone!

Path of Fire will offer more of the familiar content again. There will be new regions, new items with different skins, and the following features:

Each of the 9 hero types will receive an elite specialization. This will give your characters more depth, as each specialization includes new skills and a new usable weapon.
Finally, there are mounts! The mounts are more than just means of transportation, which wouldn’t have been necessary due to the waypoint teleport function. Rather, all four types of mounts (Raptors, Skimmer Hares, Springer Rays, and teleporting Jackals) have their own movement skills and can therefore jump particularly far or high.
A bounty system for special monsters promises lucrative challenges.

Also cool: The regions of Path of Fire are located, among other places, in the Crystal Desert and the Principality of Vabbi. Both are well-known and beloved locations from the popular first Guild Wars.

To play Path of Fire, you do not need a hero at maximum level (you will get a boost to max level with the purchase of PoF) nor the base game. However, you need the previous expansion Heart of Thorns to obtain the mastery skills from that expansion. Furthermore, the 9 new elite specializations are ONLY available for owners of HoT and PoF. You do not need Heart of Thorns to play Path of Fire alone!
