Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate – Monster hunting on the Switch
Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate has been available for Nintendo Switch since August 28. This will be the first title in the franchise to come to Nintendo’s hybrid console.
What is Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate?
Monster Hunter Generations was released in 2015 on the Nintendo 3DS. It belongs to the fourth generation of the series, where you hunt monsters in MMORPG-like boss fights. The Ultimate version now has new content such as the new quest level “G-Rank” or new monsters.
What’s special about the Ultimate version? Ultimate is more challenging due to the quest level “G-Rank” where the monsters are significantly stronger. This is where the real endgame begins. Before that, players will complete the “normal” quest levels, and no one starts with the tough challenges right away.
Who is the game suitable for?
While the Ultimate version is a new game, the base game remains the same. Thus, some comfort features that you might be used to from the new Monster Hunter World are missing. It is an older and somewhat cumbersome game.
However, if this doesn’t bother you, you can experience over 80 challenging monster fights. At its core, Monster Hunter is a loot grinder and it should be fun for you to strive for better gear. You’ll get that from monster materials.
