Path of Exile – Who Needs Diablo?
What is Path of Exile? The action RPG Path of Exile was developed because the developers at Grinding Gear Games found Diablo 3 too easy and casual. It was important for them to create a complex game in which players can delve deeply into its skill system and gameplay meta and which has a fair free-to-play system.
The planned PS4 version of Path of Exile unfortunately will not be released in December. But the big update “Betrayal” is still upcoming.
What is Special About the New Update Betrayal?
These are the features of Betrayal: In the free addon Betrayal, the goal is to take down the powerful Immortal criminal syndicate. To do this, you need to find and eliminate the previously unknown leader of the organization.
This is how you fight against the Syndicate: To find the boss, you must first systematically eliminate its underbosses. To do this, you disrupt the operations of the syndicate and lure out the 18 unique underbosses. You can then kill, extort, or even convince them to collaborate, causing them to betray their comrades and contribute to the fall of the organization.
Here’s New Loot: To keep you busy, you can also loot the hideouts and headquarters of the syndicate bosses and gain various valuable loot depending on the boss.
Changes to the UI and Skills: The user interface has been modified to allow better master crafting. Additionally, 10 skills have been newly introduced or reworked from existing abilities.

These reasons speak for Path of Exile and Betrayal: If you are a fan of Diablo gameplay and also want a bit more substance, then you should definitely try Path of Exile. This is especially true now, as Blizzard won’t be releasing a Diablo 4 anytime soon and is relying on the controversial Diablo Immortal.
Path of Exile is free and offers immense content. This is especially true for Betrayal, in which you systematically dismantle a criminal syndicate. The 18 bosses are lovingly designed and should keep you hooked in the game for a long time.
