Final Fantasy XIV – Mini-Patch with great impact
What’s happening in Final Fantasy XIV in August? Even though Patch 4.36 for Final Fantasy XIV is just a “mini-patch” that falls between two major content patches, it will still offer a lot.
What’s special about Final Fantasy XIV this time?
Monster Hunter meets Final Fantasy: First and foremost, the long-awaited crossover event with Monster Hunter: World is coming to Final Fantasy XIV. Players will be able to fight against the monster Rathalos from MHW in a trial that will include both a normal and an extreme mode.
The fight will utilize unique mechanics true to the original in MHW and offer plenty of loot, including a Rathalos mount and full armor sets inspired by MHW.
Find all info about the crossover with Monster Hunter World here.
New area, new weapons: The second major novelty is the new Eureka area called “Pagos”, which will bring the next upgrade level for the relic weapons. In the snow-covered area, heights and jump mechanics will play a major role.
More about Pagos you can find here.
Why start now?
The 4.3x patch series is considered one of the so-called “catch-up patches”, where new and slower players can achieve higher item levels with their gear without having to hardcore raid. Until the next major patch 4.4, there are about two months left, so relatively much time to catch up. So, now is a great time to start playing Final Fantasy XIV.
On the next page, a seemingly dead game suddenly becomes relevant again.
