Apex Legends – Season 1 in full swing
What is Apex Legends? Apex Legends is a new battle royale shooter like Fortnite and PUBG, but with faster gameplay than the latter and without building. Instead, you have excellent gunplay and different legends, each with unique abilities that allow for diverse tactics.
Additionally, there are plenty of cool comfort features like team drop, sophisticated respawning, and non-verbal communication.
What’s new for Apex Legends?
This is currently happening: Apex Legends has – like almost all battle royale games – a battle pass. This is a progression system where you unlock new tiers through gameplay. In return, you receive cosmetic items such as weapon skins, banners, and quotes.

Additionally, there is a new legend in the game, the crazy speed junkie Octane. He must be purchased or unlocked, but is extremely popular among players.
This may be coming next: So far, the battle pass has started rather unimpressively. However, there are rumors that a legend named Wattson may join the game later. And there might finally be challenges to speed up the grind in the pass.
Why you should play Apex Legends
Even with a somewhat mediocre battle pass for Season 1, Apex Legends is still worth it for any battle royale fan. The game and gunplay remain top-notch and the matches are a lot of fun.
Especially the new legend Octane greatly enriches the game and brings a new meta to the table. So if you’ve never played Apex or took a break, you should definitely check in during Season 1 in April.
