Fortnite – Together Against the Rest of the World
What is Fortnite? Fortnite is a third-person shooter from the battle royale genre. In Fortnite’s solo mode, 100 players compete against each other on a massive map. The last player standing wins. What makes Fortnite special is the ability to gather resources and build different structures that can be used for both offense and defense.
Besides the solo mode, players can also compete against each other in duo mode. In duos, two players work together to be among the last survivors. Finally, players also have the option to team up in squads of four players to achieve victory.
Although there is only one map in Fortnite, it changes regularly. Recently, the Fortnite map was supplemented with a throne room.
Why should you play it together? In Fortnite, each player only has one life. If you get knocked out, your chances of winning are gone. However, if you play in pairs, the other player still has the chance to revive you. After making a mistake, you’re not out of the game yet.
Additionally, with good communication, you can observe a much larger area than if you play alone. You can provide cover for each other, with one player keeping the enemies at bay while the other player builds a solid defense, thus enabling both of you to achieve victory. If one of you is better at Fortnite, they can lend a hand to their “less skilled” partner.
Playing in pairs often creates a “Us against the rest of the world” feeling, which brings both players closer together. What better way to spend the winter than to show the opponents what’s what in heated battles as a team? And it’s naturally more intense to play in pairs than in a larger group of four.
Nowadays, you can even play Fortnite against each other regardless of the platform. So if one of you has only a smartphone and the other only a Switch, you can still compete against each other.
