5. Nope and Neon Genesis Evangelion

In Nope, Daniel Kaluuya as O.J Haywood has to deal with an unusual mystery on his farm. The question of the existence of aliens is always in the air. Nope has many sources of inspiration, but especially the monster design is interesting here.
In the film, it turns out that the supposed UFO is a living being. In terms of design and coloring, it resembles the angels from Neon Genesis Evangelion, which may look like large mechs but are still living beings from outer space.
As a small fan bonus, there is also the classic bike scene from the anime Akira in the film.
