3. The Killer
Thriller legend David Fincher returned in 2023 with The Killer. The lead role is played by Michael Fassbender, who portrays a contract killer that values perfect planning and execution of his job. When something goes wrong on one of his jobs, he must confront new dangers that threaten his life.
The Seven screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker collaborated with Fincher again, and Michael Fassbender plays the cold but charming killer well. Tilda Swinton is also a highlight alongside Michael Fassbender, playing a quirky role she’s known for.
The film is definitely worthwhile for its detailed depiction of a contract killer’s processes.
4. Kill Boksoon
Gil Bok-soon is the best contract killer in the world and works for the organization M.K Ent. However, even though she is so good at her job, she wants to hang it up because she is also a single mother and wants to dedicate her time to her daughter instead.
Gil Bok-soon is the Korean answer to John Wick. In a world full of contract killers, Gil is just trying to be a good mother. The action scenes may not be on the level of John Wick, but for a fun evening full of action entertainment in Korean style, Kill Boksoon is definitely worth it.
