Class quest – Summoning demons is exhausting!
Another feature we are particularly looking forward to is the class quests from Classic. Especially for the Warlock, these were always interesting and exciting. Because anyone wanting to summon a succubus did not simply receive the spell at level 20, but first had to complete a small questline. These missions were also useful from a story perspective. They explained exactly what the danger of summoning is and that subjugating a demon is quite a difficult and exhausting act. The Warlock had to collect certain reagents first to make such a summoning possible.
Other classes also had great missions. As a mage of Stormwind, for example, you had to investigate strange outbursts of ley lines, because little arcane elementals haunted the taverns of Stormwind.
Often, the missions led halfway around the world, but the final reward – like a new spell or a special weapon – was worth the effort.
Although there is also a “class campaign” in Legion, and it is exciting, it doesn’t create the same feeling as the former class quests.
The first steps, with which you got the “tools of the trade” for your own class, will always remain in fond memory.
PvP had “epic” proportions – sometimes even lasting for days. The next page is about Alterac Valley.
