No, I’m not a Human is a paranoia-inducing horror game from Trioskaz Studio that, with just a first glance, shows what interested players can expect. It is set in a post-apocalyptic scenario where you never know whom you can trust and whom you cannot. However, the (absolutely not) reassuring faces make it really difficult to differentiate who should be invited into your “safe” house and who should rather stay outside.
The potential visitors have their own stories; some need help, while others will find a way in, whether you allow it or not.
The art style of the game is heavily reminiscent of analog horror, primarily popular on YouTube, with its uncomfortable faces and design. If you’re enthusiastic about this type of discomfort and have no problem battling constant paranoia, you might want to give the game a chance – it has already convinced other players:
- “No, I’m not a Human does not have Unreal Engine (5) under the hood, but stands out due to its art design. Partly realistic shots, combined with playful elements, convey an extremely coherent and, above all, eerie feeling,” writes Playdead (via Steam).
- “Pure, dystopian hopelessness – The Game,” writes IceSnowStorm (via Steam).
- “I’ve been hyped since the VHS demo; the art style, the kind of horror that gets under your skin instead of disappearing after a few seconds as a brief scare, and the poetically written characters—all very beautifully done,” writes Finooo161 (via Steam).
