Secret World Legends – Finally accessible and free
The Secret World impressed in 2012 with a great story, extremely tricky puzzles, and a dark atmosphere. Instead of saving a colorful fantasy world from the thousandth dark ruler, it was as a member of a secret society against hidden terrors and mysteries in our world. However, The Secret World did not impress in terms of gameplay. It was clunky and not very accessible.
Secret World Legends – The same game, but better
Many players who really liked the setting were put off by the not very intuitive and cumbersome gameplay. For these prevented fans, developer Funcom has taken a heart and re-released The Secret World as “Secret World Legends”.
The “new” game is essentially still the same; it has just been thoroughly renewed and is now supposed to be more accessible and intuitive.
As colleague Schuhmann writes in his first impressions of the remake of The Secret World, Funcom is making every effort to remove any hindrance to accessibility. Everything is now supposed to be clearer than before.
Secret World Legends – Restart as a Free2Play game
Also cool: Secret World Legends is no longer Buy2Play, but instead launched as a free-to-play remake without having to buy it. Previous customers, however, receive extensive goodies like costume transfers and additional character slots.
However, if you want to play with your highly equipped hero from The Secret World in the remake, you’ll be disappointed. Secret World Legends requires a fresh start; however, you can still play the old original, which will no longer be developed.
If you want to play Secret World Legends, you just need to create an account with Funcom and download and install the game.

On page four, there’s more about another creepy game and an even darker hero.
